Leading Edge One-on-One Leadership Coaching is a leadership development experience for graduate and undergraduate students at Georgia Tech where participants work with a leadership coach to intentionally explore and grow their leadership skills.

  • Create a compelling vision for your leadership future
  • 8-10 hours per semester

Leadership Fellow (Coach)

The Leadership Fellows program enables graduate students to develop self and others while serving as leadership coaches for Georgia Tech undergraduate students.

  • Enhance your leadership skills
  • Give back to Georgia Tech Community
  • Interact and learn with other faculty, staff and graduate students from across campus
  • 4-5 hours per week
  • $3,000 stipend / 1st Year (Students only) | Faculty & Staff (Volunteer)
  • Volunteer basis with a reduced number of Coachees / 2nd + Year(s)

GC Facilitator

The Grand Challenges (GC) Facilitators program enables undergraduate and graduate students to develop their leadership skills while serving the undergraduate Grand Challenges Living and Learning Community (GCLLC). 

Head Facilitators are individuals with previous experience facilitating GC teams or extensive experience in leadership and coaching capacities. 

  • Equip facilitators to best serve their team 
  • Enhance your ability to provide constructive feedback 
  • Develop skills to be a “facilitator’s facilitator” 
  • 6 hours per week
  • $1,400 stipend per semester
  • Must attend all class sessions and monthly facilitator meetings

Team Facilitators are individuals looking to develop their abilities to lead and coach teams. 

  • Learn how to build effective, cohesive teams 
  • Enhance your team facilitation, engagement, and communication skills 
  • Help students become better collaborators and researchers 
  • 3-4 hours per week (no classroom component required) 
  • $800 stipend per semester 
  • No classroom commitment required (you will meet with your teams outside of class) 
  • Must attend all monthly facilitator meetings

Available to 2nd Year+ undergraduate students and graduate students.

GT 1000 Leadership Facilitator

GT 1000 Leadership Co-Facilitator are professionally trained by LEAD staff to facilitate class sessions within the GT 1000 1st-Year Seminar Course (Fall and Summer).

  • Help incoming Tech students enhance their leadership skills
  • Gain instructional experience
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff
  • Late Summer Semester: 3-4 hours per week, $750 professional development funds
  • Fall Semester only: 1.5-2 hours per week, $600 stipend per class
  • Past/Current Leadership Fellows/Grand Challenges Team Leaders are eligible to participate

Available to undergraduate students (Team Leaders), graduate students, faculty, and staff (GT 1000 Facilitators). If you are a graduate student and part of the Tech to Teaching program, teaching this class can fulfill your required teaching component.

PUBP 4140 Teaching Assistant

The PUBP 4140 (Foundations of Leadership) Teaching Assistant is trained by LEAD staff to assist in class sessions.

  • Help Georgia Tech students become familiar with different ways of exercising leadership, their own strengths and
  • weaknesses, and how they can best work with others in a leadership context.
  • Gain instructional experience with an opportunity to practice teaching skills
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff
  • 3 class hours per week (Fall and Spring Semesters) along with weekly instructional meetings, class preparation and grading
  • Tech to Teaching program participation/completion is preferred
  • GTA rates

Teams for Tech Facilitator

The Teams for Tech Facilitators program enables graduate students to serve as team facilitators working closely with student teams to create a product, service, project, or venture concept to enhance life at Georgia Tech.

  • Learn how to observe and ask curious questions to aid students in building high-performing cohesive teams
  • Enhance team facilitation, communication, and leadership skills
  • Help students become better collaborators, researchers and negotiators
  • 3-6 hours per week
  • $3000 stipend per year
